Indy Photographer Finds Treasure in Indiana Avenue Photos

Well known photographer and writer Wildstyle Paschall had a Facebook post which went viral recently about “Historic Black Indianapolis - Indiana Avenue.”

Comments Paschall, “So I've been looking for a LONG time for pictures that showed the old Black Indianapolis with Black ppl actually out & about living their lives

I NEVER thought I'd find it, let alone in COLOR!!!

A lot of the neighborhood pictures are actually UNDERNEATH I-65 now but you may be able to recognize Methodist Hospital in the background in some pics.

IUPUI apparently had all these pics and its hosted on the Indiana Memory Hosted Digital Collections - Flanner House.”
